A number of years ago, I took on teaching as a vocation. Back then, it was seeing my students increase in their understanding of life and the world around them that gave me satisfaction and fuelled my passion for teaching and learning.
This passion grew along with my understanding of how learning takes place. Today, as a member of the New Life Christian Education (CE) team, I find the greatest joy in helping to equip our church members for Christian living and leadership.
For me, it is not just about sharing and exchanging knowledge and information. It is about partnering the Holy Spirit in imparting to others a biblical way of looking at life, values and practices and laying a firm foundation to stand on. It is about understanding what God is doing today and finding our place in his purposes. It is about watching how the Holy Spirit transforms a small truth into a living reality for my brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers. It is about a "Biblical theology" lived out. And this for me, is what it is all about.
I look forward to the day when every member of Centre of New Life Church is fully equipped for every good work and truly an able minister of the life-changing power of God for our generation and the generations to come.
