A Glimpse of the future
Dancers who live out the dance, who put another dimension to music - bringing freedom in worship, joy to the downcast and life to the tired soul.
Sound & Production teams which enhance music, art and movement to its ultimate, creating a total sight and sound impact that will blow our minds.
Web & IT teams which transcend norms to creatively communicate information to the church & beyond.
Design & Copy - writing teams which use language, art, & design forms to creatively communicate the relevance of God & the Church to the lost in this generation and beyond.
Administrative & Support teams who carry out their roles with passion and gusto, administrating and building support systems within the creative ministries, to see the great purposes of God come into fruition.
Actors who know how to connect with every crowd, saved and unsaved, be they adults, youth or children - bringing understanding to their hearts about the love of God, bringing smiles to their faces, bringing the question to mind 'Do you know Jesus?'
Musicians who worship God with their abilities, who will write melodies that stir the human heart & spirit to gaze on our creator and all He is - moving the soul of every saved and unsaved, every time they play and prophesy through music.
Vocalists who inspire the church to sing salvation songs, ministering in the presence of the Lord, stretching every boundary of technique and ability - bringing the gospel through music and singing to the lost.
Service Managers & Logistics crew who commit and live out their love to God through the gruelling work of setting up and tearing down each church service and outreach event in order to serve both reached and un-reached people through these gatherings. We call them our spiritual and physical muscle-men.
One of the first things I noticed when I attended Centre of New Life Church was its passionate worship services. The music was loud and contemporary, everyone was jumping, clapping their hands and singing their hearts out - and I'm not even talking about the ones on stage!
As a teenager, I came to church with an open heart and remained intrigued by this bunch of close-knit yet ever expanding team of music and creative people. For years I could never understand the source of their excitement in serving God - but I sensed a genuine spirit of love for God and unity in the team members. I was truly blown away when I got to know some of the vocalists and band members off stage. They were passionate about just almost everything else (including food), and it was contagious!
When one of them found out I was a closet singer, that was it! I was roped right into the family. What clinched it for me was the discovery that the Worship and Creative Arts team lives and dreams excellence for Jesus, with a mission to influence and reach this and other nations for God through great faith. These were people with passion and a conviction for a lost generation and were willing to go all out in their music and artistic expression.
Today, I'm a vocalist and I'm proud of it! I have been for the last 5 years. In my learning journey of serving God, I have experienced a real God and a great call upon my life to live in obedience to Him.
Perhaps like me, you too might have a passion for God and a talent He can use. If you do decide to drop by one of our practices or sit in on a Worship and Creative Arts orientation meeting, you'll find many possible roles you might fit into. We're always on the lookout for vocalists, musicians, dancers, string and wind instrumentalists. We have amazing people who work behind the scenes too - Sound engineers, web-savvy persons, designers, copy writers and those incredible people who can administrate just about anything.
